Vray Enmesh Modifier & RC

Hi guys. I have created a wicker parasol using the vray enmesh modifier (see attached). However, when I distribute it using RC the enmesh modifier doesn't show. I have attached the parasol as a group Is it not compatible with RC?

Hello Terri,

In all honesty I've not yet tested RailClone with EnMesh fully myself, but I'd imagine that it has similar restrictions to Displacement modifiers which also do not work with RailClone. Your best bet is probably to instantiate that object using RailClone Tools.

I've done some basic tests here and instantiating with RailClone tools did seem to work. If you haven't already, could you make sure that Bend and Slice are turned off for the segments in RailClone to ensure that they are instances and not collapsed to a mesh.

yes, bend & slice were already turned off

That's strange then. Perhaps you can send us the simplified scene to email? Then I can take a closer look and see if I can identify a cause.

Hi Paul,

So when I imported the RC object into a new scene, it all worked as expected. So I deleted and reassigned the enmesh modifier in my existing scene and it's working now.
