Title: Railclone Panel Tutorial Materials - Newbie question
Post by: KB2072 on May 13, 2017, 04:19:52 PM
I am having issues getting the materials to work to complete the tutorial. I believe I have everything properly pathed,  though I could use some guidance  to determine where I should look to solve this problem of mapping.

As you can see, the original railclone components are not rendering correctly prior to incorporation into the railclone object, nor do they properly show on the completed Railclone project.

Hi, Thanks for contacying us.

The RailClone object does not automatically adopt the materials  applied to the source segments, so you must do this manually. Just pick the same material that's on the geometry and apply it to the RailClone object. This tutorial also uses Automatic Box mapping to add UVW mapping for the panels, so you will see a difference between the original segments and the final object.

This is the final step in the tutorial.

I hope that helps.

Many thanks,

Paul
