After using railclone for a while for simple things (and absolutely loving it), I wanted to do something a bit more complex.
I`m trying to create a parametric window style that suits my needs for architectural modelling. The window type (fixed/openable/open) is defined by de splines mat ID, so i can easily create more complex windows.
issue 1
I`m trying to create a border around the whole window (orange spline) with a 2s array, but the segment should be aligned like drawn in green. Any suggestions?
Issue 2
I really like to have the option to open some windows (defined by spline mat ID). In the picture I use the x rotation in de 2s array, but this obviously doesn`t work when i rotate the windows around the Z axis and is greyed out when i set the array to align to spline. Is this possible?
Thanks in advance,
Kind regards,
Mattias

Update:
I`ve found a way to do the border. But segments disappear depending on the spline size. I think other people have reported this behaviour too. See pic attached.
Opening the windows works too, since i can just rotate the spline associated with the openable window when setting the 2s array to align to spline.
Kind regards,

Hi,
Please attach Your scene regarding disappearing segments.

Just back from holidays. File in attachment.
Kind regards.

Thank You for the file. Issue confirmed. We will check what can be done.

I had a similar problem, when I switch off the panel in my window (That is a nest style) my window frame disappears

Thing is You are placing objects outside clipping area borders. That is bad practice in RailClone.
You can use Linear generator for Window frame without this limitation.
