Railing Corner Issue
« on: September 12, 2019, 01:50:24 PM »
Hello,

I'm having a hard time creating railing style. I would like to mirror/rotate the corner geometry based on the angle of the spline.

Problem is, that the corners doesnt stay in the right position. I tried messing around with the pivot, but cant achive the right effect.

Would be great if I could get a hint how to fix this.

Thx in advance.

Hi,

Using Alignment > Pivot (having these manually placed as needed) for used Segments would be probably the best way in this case. In case of having troubles with it, please feel free to send us your scene to check it here. Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Thx for the quick reply. I already tried that, but I can only make this work of one corner not for both.

I've attached the style, maybe you could have a look into.

Hi,

Well, the Segment used for the "other" corner shouldn't be just rotated, but there should be a specific Segment prepared (for example by using the Symmetry modifier, like the rest of used Segment). Moving Pivot Points of used Segments while having the corresponding Alignment mode selected, seems to work just fine. Attaching the modified scene. Hope that helps.
