Random Pavement from a CAD drawing
« on: December 05, 2021, 10:08:15 PM »
Hello,

I am kind of struggling making this pavement sequence as the attached image from an Autocad file

It's a sequence of 2 tiles 40*30cm and 40*20 cm

could you please help me with the railclone equation ?

Thanks

Dragan

Hi
It all depends on the pattern model. Is it sequence or randomly generated.
I created a simple generator with some parameters exposed.
If you need a sequence pattern like in Autocad drawing you should just connect multiple Segments to the Sequence generator until you get desired pattern repetition.
If the pattern is randomized just tick the Sequence/Randomize checkbox.
Depending on the spline it is possible to get empty spaces around the borders, increasing Expand parameters should solve it.
X/Y/Z offset is used to tweak the position for the whole pattern.

Please, let me know if you need anything more.

Hi Dragan,

The file you attached is what exactly I wanted.

I don't think I would have been able to do it myself, but I will try to learn more about this intersting plugin.

Thanks again,

Dragan
