Hi there,
I'm posting here as I hope this may be able to help some other people too.
I have some glass fins that I have allocated to a spline...very simple. The top & bottom segments of my spline have Mat ID 1 and side segments Mat ID 2 as I had to use the IDs to rotate the side fins accordingly (90 deg). The linear array uses one default segment plugged into the start, evenly and end inputs. Simple.
Now, what I want to do is something similar to https://forum.itoosoft.com/railclone-pro-(*)/shutters-3771/msg14716/#msg14716, except that I want to rotate all the fins the same degree on the z axis, but randomise the rotation per spline segment (see jpg attached). When I do what Paul suggests in the above thread I get the individual fins rotating randomly - instead of all of them rotating as a whole per spline segment (see attached image). I hope that makes sense! I will send the file separately as it's client's property and confidential :-X
I know there must be a simple solution here but I just can't seem to see it (ps I cant have more than 2 spline Mat IDs as those drive my initial transform).
Thanks

Hi
For Random Node set Generate on X Spline Selection.

Hi,
The Random Operator should be set to the Generate on: X Spline Start (as mentioned in our on-line documentation (https://docs.itoosoft.com/railclone/style-editor/operators#Operators-Random.1): "it generates a new random number for each spline sub-object found in the X Spline input of the Generator").

Great, thank you. I just saw that I had randomness per segment enabled too - that's why it wasn't originally working :-[
