Title: Random size on window rollers

Hi,
I'm using extend X/Y size to area mode to create this roller. It's working great but can I affect it's y size so it looks sometimes open sometimes middle and sometimes closed? I mean is there an automatic way to affect its size or would I have to enter random numbers for middle area size and then have the bottom part move by that same number?

Yes, you could do that, but it can be achieved on various methods depending on your style.
Please, can you share your file (downgraded to lower Max version) so we can take a look?

Hi, for this type of workflow as you did I usually use nesting for better control of my generators.
Here is one example. I exposed some parameters for you. Please let me know if you need some clarifications  ;)

Ok so thanks to your help Dragan and iToo's RC I was able to put all these random rollers over these windows! And they automatically tilted on the roof ones of course.
Like in just a few clicks! This saved me so much time and even more nerves :)

Haha...and then client wanted to put grills on the roof windows...managed to edit the current generator pretty fast, and it turned out great!
