RC on Xref object Surface Error

Hi,

I am using max 2021 + RC 5.12.
Rc object with Xref object (xref tracks, Xref Modifiers) as a surface crashes max while opening a scene.
It can be created, modifed, rendered and saved. It just won't open.

Ok,

I had to try few things.

Scene with Xref object is linked as a xref object with only one surfface selected.
Also the same scene is liked as a Xref scene.

This way that surface is a double xref - once as an object, once as a scene.

Thanks for taking the time to identify the cause of that error. I can reproduce it here now. As you have pointed out, it would appear that referencing the file as a scene and an object is the cause. I'll pass it on to our development team for further investigation.
