I am trying to use the RC Spline modifier for controlling the banking on a rollercoaster model. The problem that I am having is this: when I add the banking marker to the spline, the Railclone segments change rotations in an unpredicted way. I have tried creating new splines with the same results. Any ideas on what is causing this issue? I have also been following the iToo tutorial for this very thing.
I am using 3ds Max 2023 and Railclone version 5.2.7

The way to compute banking angle using RCSpline is different from the default mode, and may cause these glitches. We'll try to improve it.
Please, try adding a Bank gizmo in the problematic segment and adjust it manually. That should fix it.

Thanks for the reply.
With further testing it looks like the issue only occurs with loops, quark screws, and those types of sections in the track. Unfortunately, adding more gizmos does not alter the broken sections. They just stay broken and it becomes very difficult to manage those areas. The fix I have found, although not ideal, is to break up those splines into several pieces and then apply a copy of the railclone to those splines and apply separate RCSpline mods to them. That way I get the results I want.
Hopefully future revisions will resolve this issue.

Hi,
Is there any way to get rid of these glitches on corners while using banking?
See the attached screenshot, it's a modified gutter preset.
I want to control the direction of the brackets with banking, because my previously used method where XSplineMatID was linked with segment Y rotation stopped working since the introduction of banking.
3DSmax 2023, RC 6.0.7
Best regards,
Przemek

Please, try moving the vertical spline segment a bit, so it's not completely perpendicular to the XY plane.
If that doesn't help, please upload your scene, and we'll take a look to it.
