Hi Itoo Team,
We are trying a set-up using a surface in the "clipping area" input of an Array 2S so we can use one poly object only from 3DS max. (no splines)
It's almost working except for two things:
1. Is it possible to retrieve the ID of the surface (no spline) so we can use the multiple ID's on the surface object, so the "limits" tab property can be set to material ID and RC will automatically recognize it.
2. We have some clipping going on for windows on the other side of the building, is there a way to limit the depth of that clipping to 100cm for example? Or use the hierarchy checking by material ID? but because the surface ID is not recognized it probably doesn't work yet?
You can check the screen recording here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gNrwjdw9qNxKua5frn7OAAFuH3okYabE/view?usp=sharing
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Vincent

Unfortunately
No surface IDs and no clipping depth limits.

Hi Rokas,
Is there any workaround you could propose? or is it possible for us to script it?
We are looking to have a link/connection, without having a step in between that breaks the real-time adaptability.
It should be parametric from beginning to end.
Thx in advance!

Hi Rokas,
Do you know if it's possible to make a spline from a polygon in 3DS max (without breaking the link)?
The polygon is very basic, all rectangles, just 4 edges, which is the spline, if there would exist a modifier or reference that would create shape/spline out of that, it is fixed and stays linked
Best regards,
Vincent
