Rotate Out of Bounding Box
« on: May 14, 2022, 11:08:50 AM »
Im making doors with a parameter to set opening angle. It's all good until the angle >90 degrees when the door goes outside of its bounding box and gets clipped, (see screenshots). I'm sure I've seen somethin in the past on how to fix this but can't seem to find it now that I need it!

Here is a simple one with some parameters exposed.
All of them can be overridden by RC Spline Marker at the start of each subspline. So, please check the RC Spline modifier.

I just look a bit closer at images.
You are using Clipping Spline>A2S Extended, right?

Set segments deform to no-slice and in the Generator`s general tab for no-slice, you set a "preserve" or a "free" option. That should preserve segments.
Sorry, can`t post print-screen img, I`m on the phone at the moment.

Thanks Dragan. The 'preserve' setting sorted it for me - and the file you uploaded helped with some other things I wanted to figure out. You're so helpful you even solve problems before I know I have them!
