Railclone Objects In XREF Scenes Not DR Rendering (Vray 3.7)
« on: April 08, 2021, 04:44:34 PM »
Hello, I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this issue.  I have some Railclone objects in an xref scene that don't render on my DR nodes.  However, if I merge the xref scene into my main one, they render just fine.  Any insight why this might be happening?

It looks like xref path is not accessible by render nodes.
Can You confirm that xrefed standalone segments are renderable by rendernodes (before they are merged into RailClone style)?

I'm working with an entire scene that is xrefed, not xref segments or paths.  Does that make a difference?  The scene that is being xrefed renders fine on a render node when I'm directly in that scene and xref segments and proxies work.  Is this a limitation of RailClone?

Edit: I just realized that some RailClone objects did render, it was just a couple specific ones that did not.  I'll investigate further and do some tests.
