Scaling piano keys along spline
« on: May 19, 2018, 03:33:04 AM »
Can someone please help me modify the "Piano End" scene file so that the keys scale along the spline?

I am doing a personal project and can't for the life of me figure it out :-(

thanks so much

I tested all of the "scale along spline" files I could find on this forum and they all have the same problem with the padding in between the keys becoming exponentially larger or smaller as it moves along the spline.

Can someone please help me?

Thanks a lot

Hi

Thank You for this question.

I created two parameters Scale Start and Scale End. You can modify them- I hope that will do it for You.
If there is anything else- let us know. Happy to help out. Scene is attached.

Rokas thank you so much for the reply and help!

Is it possible to modify this so that the proportions stay the same (while keeping the top aligned still)? I understand that the verticle stretching will make the segment gaps a little unaligned, but the scaling will be gradual over a longer distance so it wont be as noticable. Perhaps in this case the flat/sharp key can take the scale of the previous white key

Thanks a lot for this. You have no idea how much this helps me. I really hope to learn this plugin well enough to be able to do this kind of stuff on my own

Will share my project with you when done :-)

Sure.
I added two more parameters to adjust this keyboard. Anxious to see Your final project.

Hi Rokas, sorry to bother about this again, but could you possibly help me add the Z scale as well?

I tried figuring out how you did this and it is so over my head.

Thanks again!

Hi Rokas, the z scale seems to flatten all of the keys so the flat/sharp keeps don't stick out anymore :-/   any way to fix this?

thanks a lot
