Randomly rotated tiles based on sequence / Grouping-Node
« on: November 12, 2018, 04:00:38 PM »
Hello,
I'm stuck with a project. I want to generate a surface of tiles with a slide random rotation in xyz for every tile. This is quite easy if the tile is one object. But this tile is created via a sequence-operator. This alows me to vary the size of the tiles without deforming the shape of the border. But when I aply a transform-operator every single part of one tile is rotated in different directions. Is there a way to tell the last sequence object that the rotation should be apply to the tile as a whole. Thank you if someone can help me.

I guess these topics point at the same problem. Is it soved/featured yet ?

Hi

Great question. You can't do that with RailClone yet ;(
What You can do is nest this tile object inside main RailClone style.

Create a RailClone object just for one "Tile". And use it in master RailClone Style.

Hope this works for You.
