Point cloud-derived V-Ray proxy file as RailClone segment?
« on: August 05, 2020, 09:46:52 PM »
I have a bunch of .vrmesh files that were converted from .ply point cloud objects.  When I try to use these as segments as part of a RailClone system, they are not shown in the viewport or the render.
I had thought that under the hood, all V-Ray proxy objects were the same.  They render fine when not incorporated into RailClone.

Can I get a confirmation as to whether this is supported, or will be in the future?  Thanks.

Hi.
Support for proxies is very limited. And we need to go into them and extract the mesh. They can hold not only it.
We have no plans to change how it works in any time soon.
