Hi,
im currently using a L1S to create some sequenced fencing, i have start, end & middle test segments sequenced & plugged into the default node with the generators default rule set to count (to accurately mimic my reference)
my issue is that one of my middle segments needs to retain its dimensions & not scale/stretch ...is this at all possible with my current set up?

Hi,
Thanks for the question. If you have RailClone 7, you might be better using the new Spline nodes to create this. You can use the divide evenly spline node to add multiple layers of evenly distributed elements. The easiest way to explain is to share a sample scene.
It should be pretty explanatary, but one thing to note is that the Divide Evenly nodes are each assigned a different Material ID. This is then targeted using the Selector node.
If you have any questions about this setup, please let me know.
All the best,
Paul

Hi Paul,
thanks for the info & scene- ill check out the new spline nodes
in the interim, please find attached my basic test scene, with reference object (black) which hopefully shows what im trying to achieve

Hi,
Thanks for the reference. Please take a look at the attached and let me know if it solves your issues.
Many thanks,
Paul

great & thanks Paul
is that a bespoke Linear 1S? ...as digging in & trying to replicate, i cant seem to add the extra evenly distance & default count input nodes to a regular L1S (same applies to the numeric default count & evenly distance parameters)?

Hi,
It's standard L1S. Most parameters can be exported to nodes by right clicking on the node and selecting Export Parameters.
The Number nodes can be found in the side bar under parameters. You can rename them at your own convenience. I've attached a screenshot that I hope helps out.
Best,
Paul
