'tearing in mesh'
« on: March 31, 2017, 09:51:20 AM »
Hi, fairly new to using rail-clone. I've created this fairly simple wine bar for a project I'm working on. all seems to be working as planned, but I'm getting some tearing in the mesh as it's deforming around the curve of the spline. I've also attached an image of the source mesh, it has 7 segments currently, does it just need dividing more maybe?

Any help apprecieted

Hi,

I would try increasing the Curve Steps value found in the Style rollout. This often helps where edge loops overlap. If this doesn't help I would move the spline to the inside of the bar and change the pivot point so that the geometry's back edge is aligned with the spline.

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any further questions.

Many Thanks,

Paul
