Segments perpendicular to world instead of spline normal
« on: February 08, 2017, 04:30:16 PM »
I guess this should be easy, but i just couldn't figure it out:
I'm doing a fountain with water jets. I'm using a spline to specify the final height of every segment, but I want them to remain perpendicular to the ground, not the spline.
Also, I get a gap where I guess is the start of the spline, how do I fix that?

Thanks!

Hi,

You should be able to achieve this by changing the Segment's Deform mode to Stepped.

The gap that occurs is a known limitation when using Evenly segments. At the moment the easiest workaround is to wire the segment to the Start input and then break the spline at the first vertex. This has been fixed already for the upcoming version.

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any further questions.

Many Thanks,

Paul
