I was curious. Is is possible if your in the Style Editor of your RC object to have RC select the spline in the scene that spline segment is attached to? If not, I think it would be a great feature to have. Countless times I need to go into a huge scene  and adjust some stuff. It not layered or named correctly I usually go into the Style Editor to see what spline is connected to what. Would be cool to have RC select that spline in the scene for adjustments. Yes I am being lazy and should manage my max layers better but I thought I would ask.

Thanks
Chris

I am not sure I understood correctly, but if I did- yes you can.
Just select Your RC object and right-click. In Upper left Quad menu there should be what you are looking for.
It is not exactly selection from style editor- but it is even faster.

Thanks for the response Rokas, So if I am in the Style Editor and I want to select the spline  that my Liner 1S is using from the scene, just right click on the RC spline object? I get these options :on, off, add, copy, delete, collapse and expand?

Probably not explaining it correctly. So I have a basic Linear 1s, has spline input that uses lets say " wall spline 1". I am just looking to see if it's possible to have the editor select the "wall spline 1" spline that's in my max scene. It would be nice while in the RC object that your editing, to have the option to have it select the spline in the max scene that it's referencing.

Thanks again
Chris

I understand what You would like to see, and developers might be able to add this request, but for now,- there's workaround and in my opinion even better way:
even if you would be able to select spline from style editor - it would close style editor,- so you could not select it again fast.
Now you can right click in your viewport and select RC object, then rightclick and select spline for path editing:

Hope that helps ;)

Perfect! This will be a great time saver.  I never knew about that- damn I am learning so much for a Monday - good stuff.

Thanks again for taking the time to explain it.

Thanks for your explanation, Rokas.

As you described, the right way to select spline is using quad menu. It seems Max doesn't allow to change selection from the rollout, because out attempts resulted in a Max crash.
