Drainpipe rotation
« on: February 06, 2019, 11:14:16 AM »
Is there a way to make sure that drain pipe brackets are rotated correctly to touch the walls on pipes that are on all elevations of a house, using four splines that have been attached together? Or is the only option to have 4 separate splines with four separate railclones? I hope that makes sense. Essentially, each elevation of a house I am modelling has a downpipe. I have all four splines attached together but that obviously means only one of the downpipes is correct based on the splines XYZ axis orientation.

I wonder, if this is something that can be done in railclone with some clever workaround.

Thanks in advance,

Andy.

You could limit RC to  Material ID. And Rotate pipes 90 degrees if Mtl id == 2 lets say end etc

Thanks for the suggestion and I can see how that would work. Is there a way to use it with one of the downpipe libraries though because as soon as we change and id's on the splines some of the elements disappear.

cheers,

Andy.

You sir are a gent!

Thank you very much, this is some seriously good customer service. I would suggest this gets integrated into all the drain pipe presents for a future update!

Best regards,

Andy
