Hello.
I am exploring Railclone 3 - (version 3.04b - I am planning to renew my subsrcitpion) and I have noticed some weird behaviour with new libraries.

Concrete Cladding Randomised example:
https://www.screencast.com/t/Of5lX15C
https://www.screencast.com/t/47FQmaQozq

Concrete cladding fixed example:
https://www.screencast.com/t/qlFmxeKGe

just simple scene with HDRI + new railclone library + spline + Corona 1.6.2 + 3ds 2012

Am I doing something wrong?;)
Best regards.

Hi,

I would suggest you to double check, that the instancing engine is turned off. Thought, when the Corona renderer is detected you should receive the message attached ("Selected style doesn't support instancing with current Renderer. Display -> Use Instancing Engine is set off"), might be that's enabled.

If you'll be able to reproduce it on a minimal scene, which you can send us, it would be great. Thanks in advance for any further comments on this issue you can share about it with us / our user community.

Best regards,

Hello.

Yeah, I knew about turning off instancing engine in Corona - I've checked and it was disabled.
But... I think I've found a way to reproduce this  weird behaviour.

When I start fresh new scene - enable corona renderer and put Railclone 3 object with one of the new library presets - everything works OK.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start fresh new scene and enable Corona renderer.
2. Add Railclone object with for example "Concrete Cladding Fixed" BUT WITH "using" Standard material.
3. Hit render.
4. Go to Railclone Library and change "using" Standard material to Corona material.
5. Warning about Instancing Engine pops out - and in "Display" it is unchecked.

but from now it renders wrong - even if you create new railclone object or create new scene. I had to restart 3ds max to disable this behaviour.
Hope it helps.

Hi,

We've been doing some additional tests on 3ds max 2012, RailClone Pro 3.0.7 & Corona 1.6.2, but up to now we can't reproduce any similar troubles. Which On Duplicate Material option (Use scene material, Replace from Library, Ask to user) are you using?

If possible, please send us anz affected scene and we'll check it here.

Hi,

Big thanks for the provided scene. It's linked to RC's API implementation done by Corona team - it has been already reported. Once again, thanks for all your feedback.
