Curb style - please can you help me
« on: October 06, 2018, 09:18:33 PM »
Hi,

I tried to make very simple curb style, but cant make it to work. I made it as a simple middle part, evenly part with space and corner part. On picture corner part looks good, but only on this place, on other corners it looks terrible. How can I do this please?

And one more thing. It will be great when corner part will work on a different angles, not only 90. But for start, it will be great to work at least on 90 :-)

Thank you.

Nevermind, I found a solution already, now its ok. But I have a different problem with changes in slope. RC puts corner part but I need evenly part instead. Is this possible or how can I achieve that?

Thank you.

Im not an expert, but I think you should disconnect corner and put evenly instead:-)

Please upload Your styles in max file. This way You will get faster help and more accurate- according to Your uploaded file, not just some theoretical suggestion.

I am sorry, I fix that already :-)

Now I have last problem. Evenly part is placed exactly in distance I set. That is ok, but when I place vertex somewhere, evenly part is not right on in but respect evenly distance I set. Can I put higher priority on vertex positions and after that use evenly distance?
Thank you.

No, You can't define higher priority vertices.
Please better explain what You want to create.

As I said in first post, it should be a curb style around a sidewalk. Its ok, but when there are a stairs, I have to move vertexes up or down. Vertexes are exactly where stairs start and end. But RC respect evenly distance, so curb will be in a ground or in the air. I hope it is understandable.

I want to make sure You understand what Evenly does. It creates evenly spaced segments on Shape segments (not whole Spline).

I would highly recommend following these tutorials: Next Steps With RailClone for better in depth knowledge of the plugin.
