Noob Question, please help me.
« on: February 03, 2020, 09:11:41 PM »
Hey friends.

I have a noob RailClone question (although I should not be a noob by now.)

I have 4 chairs, each with a different colored fabric, that have to be lined up in rows.  The ends of which should be aligned down the aisle, as it were.

How do I:
1. Align them to match on the ends?
2.Get them to be evenly spaced?

As you can see, they are merging at the ends of some of the rows and some of them are changing widths.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Kurt

Hi Kurt.
Generator > Rule >Adptive can do the job although it will slightly scale X-size dimension.

For Tile mode to fit everything you need some adjustments. I hope this Generator will fit your needs.
Please check the parameter:
Evenly Distance: if you enter 0 or any value less then Original Chair Width it will be overridden to chair`s width
Alignment: 1 - Top, 2 - Bottom, 3 - Center, 4- Pivot
Best regards.

I add the option to offset rows
Offset rows will basically remove one chair from every second row and shift the row by the half of the chair`s X-size.

And one more could be useful :)
Z-Step distance will move up every row based on the parameter value. Please keep in mind that Z-step is based on the SubSplineCounter so it will correspond with the order you created each Subspline.
Best Regards
