Title: Spline from Autocad Problem

Hi,
I receive 2D AutoCAD DWG files from surveyors.
I am almost never able to apply a RailClone object to splines from DWG files.
What do I need to do to make it work?

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with it. Could you please describe the issue in a bit more detail? Are the RailClone styles you're using based on the spline’s Material IDs? If so, let me mention that, as noted here on our forum (https://forum.itoosoft.com/forest-pro-(*)/autocad-link-in-max-2016-loses-connection-on-reload/msg16378/#msg16378):

"... upon my experience, in case of importing splines from a .dwg file, its Color is used for generating the 3ds max Material ID. If you want to avoid the Edit Spline modifier step - assigning the Red color to such spline (layer) should result in ID 1 / Yellow as ID2 (as the Red color should be indexed 1 (Yellow 2) in AutoCAD)."

Yes, that's right.
I can't integrate this parameter into my head. It must be old age.  :)
