Title: Stadium tutorial

Hi, im following the stadium tutorial and im on the audience part, when putting the DISPLAY/LIMITS/SEGMENTS on 200,000 like the tutorial when i render the scene it appears the display warning and i have to up the faces number to 20 M but in the tutorial he leaves it at 5M, but increasing the face count my viewport starts to getting extremely slow, and i understand that the render is getting slower but i dont get why in the tutorial he doesnt up the faces count. am i doing something wrong?
