Apologies for the delay in replying to this one. I've attached a sample file but I think due to the complexity of the handrail that RailClone is only going to get you part of the way with this kind of staircase. Here's the bits we can do in RailClone
- I've added the balustrades to the stair tread segment. It's a bit easier to align them this way.
- The spline for the stairs has been split into two. In that way the second flight can be moved up to start with a step. Without this it starts at the same level as the landing.
- The landing is added to the End input. If you only want it on one of the splines you can use a Conditional operator to test the Material IDs assigned to the spline. In the attached file you'll see I've done this for the bullnose tread.
Here's what RailClone can't do.
The handrail is a separate spline. In order to go around corners handrails often use complex geometry that isn't easy to automate from the simple stair spline. In the example I've created this separately, but there's not a way to connect the two (yet). So I've had to add and edit poly modifier and move the tops of the balustrades up manually until the connect with the handrail.
