Style editor window
« on: August 09, 2014, 03:08:12 PM »
Hi Itoo,

I have dual monitors and I find it much easier to use the style editor in my second monitor (as I do with layers, material editor etc). However unlike these, every time I deselect an RC object and reselect it, the style editor pings back to my first monitor so I have to drag it back whenever I make another edit. Really annoying! Can it please stay where I tell it to stay in the next release? ;)

Many thanks

Jon

You probably place style editor to red area of your second monitor:

Thanks but I'm afraid not. I've tried in multiple positions on monitor 2 and it makes no difference...always pings back to the blue box on monitor one.

I only guess RC doesn't like that you have 2nd monitor to the left of the 1st.
It probably returns negative values and thus resets style editor position

Yes, we had to introduce that workaround because negative Y values was causing that style editor dissapear (we don't know if the problem was caused by windows, max or something else). But i just realized of this side effect...

Apologies by the inconveniences. We'll try to fix it.

Incidentally, I found out today that if I make the left monitor my default monitor it works. I can have max in my right monitor and the style editor works in the left properly! That said, I prefer to have my right as my main as it's in the centre of the desk but until the bug is squashed, this is a viable work around. :) Thought this may help. Cheers.
