Title: surface working in a 'reversed' mode from bottom, up
Post by: eligiusz on May 28, 2020, 02:52:12 PM
Normally You put the geometry above the surface but what if I want the surface to work as a ceiling and put the geometry below it ? Its probably something obvious but cant really find any setting for it.
Its not a big deal because I can just flip normals but that would then require having a separate object for RC and separate for rendering with normal normals.

Yes, separate (non-renderable) object should work just fine.

Or maybe You could use surface normally and add additional transform to lower RC from the top to the bottom the amount You need.

what if I want some piping with 'holding geo' that adjusts to the ceiling ?
