Title: The brick wall itoo video on youtube...

...Looks great, but how does one achieve this or similar result?  Was that a custom style made for that video?  Anyway, any more insight into the whole process would be really helpful...RC2 is great so far, much better interface IMO.

This scene is pretty simple: just one Array generator, a single Segment (brick), and several random transformations (Z scale and material). I attach the scene if you like it.

Tip: try changing "X Rotation" and "Slope" in the Generator to get interesting effects.

Thanks Carlos, I am going to have a peek!  Can't wait.

Hello,

I tried the slope and X rotation, and that was cool!  Is there a quick way to make the same type of wall but the bricks are offset by 50% (sim. to brick common bond.)

Here is a sample scene using a common bond pattern.

I used a Sequence operator on Y axis, applied to the "Left Side" slot. In this way, each row starts alternating between two Segments: simple brick, and half brick+brick (created with a Compose operator).

There are simpler modes to get this pattern (you will see it in an upcoming tutorial), but this workflow allows to randomize each brick individually.

Hi Carlos, thanks for uploading the sample bricks scene2.  I will look forward to the next tutorials as they are quite helpful.
