I am still struggling make the U-turn Stair. I managed to make the whole stair. But there are some Weird
Bends at the end of the handrail. See my file and my picture. I can’t figure it out a whole day. Please help me. Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us. I just had a look at your scene, setting the "Head" segment's Left Padding to a value less than -7 seems to fix this issue without affecting the rest of the style.

Hope that helps,

Thanks,

Paul

I can't imagine changing the padding setting of the end segment will affect the bend of whole line. My path spline is perfectly straight without any segments.  I wonder why there is a weird bend with my setting. Thanks.

Hi,

I'll look into why it is behaving this way in more detail with Carlos but it looks as though it is to do with the order of evaluation. If you turn off the mirror node you can see that the handrail's position changes to the higher level you're seeing in the file you sent me.

This also explains why the Padding fixes the issue, because the handrails position then ignores the size of the end cap.

Thanks,

Paul

It may be a bug, probably caused by a numerical approximation error at the spline's end.
I've added the problem to the to-do list.
