Title: Tile vs Adaptive rule
Post by: Dragan on December 03, 2018, 11:42:47 AM
Hi Rokas, please help  :)

I have created a simple generator with some Single/Double Widows and Solid segments.
Since I`m expecting some tweaking I set up some parameters for X segments size and X/Y Gap size...

Now, I have issue with Adaptive default rule since I was expecting that RC will fit "everything" to the Spline length.
3dsMAx 2015, RC 3.2

Thank You.
Best Regards

Adaptive mode needs all default segments to be the same size for it to work. It applies a single scale factor to them all.

You could use Compose operator for this to work.

Ok... I switched to the Compose instead Sequence operator I that give me some better results.
Now I have problem with `Full Solid Row` not aligning the Gaps with `Windows` but  this is probably some calculation issue... or it is not?

 EDIT:
;D
I done Sequence>Compose switch on my own, before Yours answer so I understand why i got difference in alignment.... still do not know how I`m going to fix it  ;)

Can we expect some good news about those kind of situations in RC4?

Thank You

DONE!!

Exported X size of Compose Sequence and divided by 5.
With some tweaking with size/gap parameters Alignment will eventually fit.

Thank you
