Random Objectos from Ceiling generator
« on: May 15, 2022, 02:35:33 AM »
Hi there, I want to create a Ceiling that has 3 different types of objects, the classic square panel, a panel with a light and a panel with vent and light that its size is the double from the others 2. I want to position them randomly or with some control. Right now i only have 1 of each one.

Here is the File in 3ds max 2020

Hi,

Thanks for the question. I'm not 100% sure of the end goal, but please see the file attached for a possible solution. There are two options you can pick from using the selector operator, either a pattern version that you can create using the Sequence operator, or a random version. If you are able to use the X and Y spline to set the ceiling size instead of a clipping area then I've also added a third option that allows you to use markers on the Y axis to choose the type of tiles.

I hope that helps,

Paul
