Trim X&Y-Evenly By Half YSectionLength
« on: April 12, 2021, 07:56:56 PM »
Hi,

I'm wanting to trim my 2S generator X&Y Evenlies by half the YSectionLength but not really sure where is best to input the expression in a Transform node to do this.

Sometimes I'll wat to trim the top portions and sometimes the bottom portions.
It should always trim the same half for all Splines in a Generator, never mixed.

Thanks

I think he wants to trim verticals as well.

Here is a quick one but I`m sure it can be done with some simple style...

In that case style gets a bit more complex. added another generator, one for x evenly one for y evenly.

I am not sure it can be made in one simple generator.

P.S. I see, Dragan, You upgraded You max version ;)

 ;D Yes, I`m going to 2023 soon  ;D
@Rokas
Please check my style, I`m sure You will understand it but there is an issue with the `bounding box`.
Disconnect Null from StartTop and you will see what I`m talking about.

Yeah, I had some issue with a slice on the rounded spline on some critical point so connecting a Nell to Corners terminated this slice. (can't remember parameters values)
Never mind, just a glitch that can be easily solved.

Try parameters 3 / 100 / 100   (disconnected StartTop)

Morning and thank you both for the swift response.

Dragan; Yup that's spot on but I am getting this issue with residue geometry.
It's what prompted me to ask for help. Although mine was MUCH worse and I wasn't just getting it on curved splines.

Is that the issue with the bounding box?

Just posted whilst you added your post Dragan.

Yes I think this is the same issue although mine appears even if I leave StartTop connected

Here's a more pronounced example.
With StartTop connected but seems to only occur with curved splines.

Yes I noticed this bug while solving the style and already logged to our bug system. Thank You.

Try connecting Null segment to all the corners inputs.

No, unfortunately adding Null to all the corners doesn't seem to be having any effect.
