Array 2S X & Y evenly not working together

Hello,

I am trying to set up a simple facade element consisting of two array 2S blocks, one for the framework and one for the interior window divisions.
Individually they work with the X evenly and Y evenly division, except when both connected. I have tried many settings, but I can't get it to work correctly.
I have the feeling there is a padding/ bounding box error somewhere

Attached my settings for the interior Array 2S block, the three states of connected X and Y evenly blocks, and the linked geometry elements
(I set it up from one basic frame element, and four different glass elements).

Hi,

The issue your describing is related to the way in which RailClone places segments. Think of the rows in an A2S generator as a stack of separate L1S generators on top of one another. Because each row is independent it cannot automatically overlap with the rows above and below. So when using X and Y evenly together an X Evenly segment needs to be placed where the two intersect. If the X Evenly segment's height is greater than the Y Evenly Height then you'll get a gap. This is true of any row where the heights of the segments do not match.



One solution is to ensure that the height of all segments used for the default, X Evenly and Y Evenly inputs is the same:



The downside is that this creates more segments on the Y axis.  Another alternative is to use sequences instead of Y evenly, this is the most common way to set styles like this up and it's the approach used in the Windows, Ceiling and Spider Glazing tutorials. This works well but will not allow you to automatically divide the height of the array without adding some slightly more complicated expressions. Hi Paul,

Thank you for your fast response. I thought I prevented the difference in height by using the single 50x50mm block for all frame elements.
To keep the height and width responsive I wanted to avoid using the sequence block, but I will read into the links you send me. If I still can't fix it I will respond to this thread again.
