Title: Tutorial for parametric perforations in metal sheets
Post by: DG2679 on July 07, 2017, 05:47:14 PM
Hi,
I have just started using rail clone. Its very easy for cloning module(s). I was wondering how can I create/control perforations through railclone. I have attached a few images as references.

I am new to the forum, so kindly direct me to the relevant page if this topic has been covered already.

Hi,

I would suggest you to check this thread on our forum (https://forum.itoosoft.com/index.php?topic=3209.msg12461#msg12461), where a possible set-up is shown and a sample scene containing such style is available for download. Also, you might find handy the VRayDistanceTex map to perform a render-time boolean as shown in this post (https://forum.itoosoft.com/index.php?topic=3237.msg12599#msg12599).

Best regards,
