Update Manager, cant login
« on: July 17, 2017, 10:14:47 AM »
Hello,

I've just installed the new version 3 of railclone.
Sadly I can't login to the update manager to download the libraries. He always tells me that password or user is wrong, but it isnt. I can login with the exact same credentials on the website. I tried mail and username, but same behaviour.

Any ideas?

Probably you are trying to use the forum password with Update Manager, but passwords are different. User Panel and Update Manager share same credentials, but forum not.

In order to isolate possible problems we are going to restart your passwords. In a few minutes you will receive an email with the reset form.

Please, retry again after password reset

Greetings. Pablo :)

Password and Username for Forum are exactly the same.

So only way to fix it eventually is to renew the password?

Changing password worked. But dont know why this happend. My password was correct.

Hi all. Regarding installing packages on render nodes. PLease see the documentation here on the Update manager. There are several ways to distribute contents to render nodes, including unattended and offline installations.

https://docs.itoosoft.com/railclone/installation-files/update-manager

I hope that helps,

Cheers!

Hi, we decided to use an online updater because the installer was already too big. It was a pain to include more libraries, and keep them updated.
Now we can release plugin updates, add libraries or upgrade them much more easily.

Please, see this post for details about render nodes.

offline installation does not work.
nothing was installed on this workstation, i set the path, clicked on prepare, and all got greyed out. this is since 1 hour.
the direct installation was loaded and installed on another machine in 5 minutes.

any idea?

Did you installed all the libraries before preparing the offline installation?

I've been having problems with the Update manager, and I can't log in using my username/email and password. I suspect that in my case the problem is more to do with zscaler, which is an web filter. My suspicion is that it is blocking access to the itoo user account, and can therefore not verify them.

Any suggestions? I'm trying now to find out how to manually update all the libraries, without being able to log in to the updater... Ive got this problem with all the updated machines that I've updated so far, which means I'm down to 1 workstation and 2 render nodes which remain un-upgraded.
