Update Manager Central Installation
« on: May 22, 2018, 03:12:03 PM »
Hello everyone,

Is there an optimal way to centralise the Updates of the Railclone Update manager?
We have multiple workstations and renderslaves and our Railclone is installed on a network drive.

Still if there are Railclone Updates in the Manager each workstation has to separatly log-in and update the assets.

Is there a better way to centralise the Railclone installation so if one workstation installs the updates the others are automatically also updated?

Any suggestions are gladly appreciated.

Hi, please see this FAQ entry. It describes how to put all assets in a network path, without using Update Manager in each computer.

We are working to automatize this procedure from Update Manager.

When you do, please also take deployment into consideration.
I need to update 25 workstations & 30 renderslaves.

Not having to do things manually or per computer will save me some gray hairs.
