Title: Updating Railclone Object
Post by: Paku on January 03, 2017, 06:34:09 AM
Hi,
Is there a way to update a Railclone object created with an older version of Railclone 2 (2.xx)?
From time to time I have to work on an old projects and I often get strange behavior from Railclone objects, which weren't there at the time I originally rendered the project.
I usually fix the problem by creating a fresh Railclone object and copying the old style to it. Which is a great solution for small files, but can become really tedious when the projects has 20+ Railclone objects.
I might be mistaken but I thought I remembered reading somewhere that it was possible to "refresh" a Railclone object version through a MAXScript command.

Any Help?
Thanks

I've uploaded some images of this particular issue if anybody is interested.

Hi,

To "upgrade" any RC object - so it works as created with the recent release, select it and run this maxscript:

$.railclone.resetCreatedVersion()

Hope that helps.

Best regards,

Thanks.

It doesn't solve that particular issue but it will definitely be useful in the future.
