Updating to Newest Versions concern

Hi all.

We're using Max 2022 with Corona 7 (Hotfix 1).

FP:  We're using 7.4.1 (Newest is 8.1.0)
RC:  We're using 5.2.2 (Newest is 5.2.

I'd like to make sure systems are using consistent versions but also up to date.

However I'm hesitant to update for a few reasons including compatibility with our software versions but also we have jobs in progress, some of which are currently rendering so can't afford for anything like that to go wrong.

Can someone please give me some suggestions... or, preferably, set my mind at ease about updating.

Hi,

In such a case, I would suggest upgrading to FP 7.4.3 and RC 5.2.8. In the case of ongoing projects, it'll be better to not upgrade directly to a major version of the plug-in (FP8 or RC6).
