Can I use a modified Railclone 2 object as a segment in A New Railclone 2 Object ? Please help me, iToosoft.
1.   How can I get rid of these isolated vertices without adding an “Edit poly” Modifier ? I can’t get the correct boundingbox via maxscript now. It’s important for my animation. See my screenshot and scene file in my attachments, please.
2.   I just try to use a modified Railclone 2 object as a segment in A New Railclone 2 Object. And I have a problem. See my screenshot and scene file in my attachments, please. I can’t explain too much in English. I hope you can understand me. Please modify my scene. :)

Why are You using clipping area? It looks like it should be enough to use two splines.

Because I will use the clipping area to modify the shape of segments (such as a circle shape) in the future. You know. This is just my test scene , not the real scene in my new project.

PS. Sorry for editing your reply by mistake.

I probably still don`t understand full situation, but why don`t you maxscript bounding box not of railclone, but clipping path?
and then plug those dimensions to master RailClone:

Yeah! It looks like you have no isolated vertice in your first Railclone object which as segment ! Can you upload the scene you modified here, please.

I change the shape of clipping area. But I get this. There're many isolated vertices.

There are isolated vertices.

By the way, you can use maxscript to remove those isolated vertices:
$.modifiers[#Edit_Poly].ButtonOp #RemoveIsoVerts

Don`t know if it is suitable for what are you doing, though.

Why I must get rid of the  isolated vertices ? Because I will use RailClone object as geometry object in Thinking Particles. I will use object to particles node in Thinking Particles, and do some Physical simulation in Thinking Particles.  I want to make the modifiers that on the Railclone object as few as possible.
Actually, I just want to know whether the  isolated vertices can be removed by Railclone itself.

Thanks for your help.

Problem is caused by the Max boolean function, which we use for the clipping operation. Same issue can be reproduced using Compound Objects->Boolean->Cut.

I guess we can remove the extra vertices in a further step. I've added this to the wishlist.
