Title: variable circuit kerb
Post by: Simco on April 26, 2023, 11:02:44 am
Hi everyone,
I need to create with a railclone object a variable circuit kerb from a single module which changes his x and/or y dimensions along the spline. The dimensions must change at exact points and of a precise value. Is it possible to do? Maybe using rc spline markers?
I attach a screenshot with kerb module  and an example of the result that I need.

Thank you
Ottavia

Hi,

For these purposes, you can use a “set of correspondingly resized pieces” which you can handle by the Compose Operator and position Marker(s) to place these where needed.

I hope that helps.

Best regards,

Hi,

Please feel free to check the attached style to see if that might suit your needs. It's using a bit another approach - ID on Markers controls whether there's 1 - no ramp; 2 - upwards ramp; 3 downwards ramp. The first two data channels then control the start/end size of the ramp.

Best regards,

Thank you,
I'll try to adapt your solution to my needs.

Hi Michal,
the solution you proposed is interesting but not what I need.
The transition from Ya to Yb (see attached drawing) has variable lenght in X and the module is like the one in the drawing so I can't split it into two parts.

Do you have any other solution?

Thanks in advance

Hi Ottavia,

I'm afraid, that the RailClone plug-in can't do that at the moment. We'll see what can be done in future releases.
