I would appreciate the libraries that are there to be upgraded or improved.

For starters:

1: Make the built in kerb libraries have drop kerbs as per the tutorials that exist.

Almost every situation that calls for a kerb calls for a drop kerb, so the existing libraries are almost useless - when were they created or updated?

2: Make the grass areas have better edging.

Again, tutorials exist that allow you to create smaller lumps of grass around the edges of grass areas so they better fit their environment.
Almost every scenario I need to use grass in needs to have this facility - I don't know why you would not include this as a a facility of the default libraries.

the default libraries should represent the BEST examples of what can be done with Railclone, not crude low poly efforts.

3. Some of the maps for some items (kerbs and sidewalks) are almost low poly and rudimentary. It would be preferable to have something that can stand up to scrutiny.

4. Improved roads and mapping. The tiling asphalt material is pretty slack. It would be great to have roads that work on junctions. anyone can create a straight road, however junctions and kerbs are areas where Railclone is useful, and those areas seem to be lacking.

Although I am still very thankful for the presets, I must agree with mynewcat on many of those points  ;)

Oh, I forgot to add, of course, the current presets included are still worth every penny of the price of the license, imo, and they do come in handy in a pinch, or in BG.

Hi,
First of all, thanks for your suggestions. Your feedback is highly appreciated and will help us to improve our products.

You are right, apologies by that. These styles are a bit obselote because were created for RC 1.x. I've discussed this issue with our team, and we have plans to rebuild many of these elements, including more detailed meshes and using all features available in RC 2.x.

Unfotunately the technique used in the Grass Edges tutorial cannot applied to the library, because it requires multiple areas. But area settings are ignored by the presets.
This is by design. If not, a preset would overwrite the areas created by the user.

Also, the tutorial's technique is a bit rudimentary. We have several ideas to solve grass edges in a cleaner way. We are working on that.

Same as point 1. Although RailClone cannot solve junctions (this is an old issue discussed in other threads), we like to improve all maps and the Civil Engineering styles.

and water discharge systems around swimming pools would be a nice set.

Anything or everything from this page, lol!

would be used very often, almost on all exterior commercial projects.

Nice suggestions everyone. Thanks and keep them coming, they're all going on our wishlists.

Many thanks,

Paul.

@TL1895 Funny you say that I've been experimenting with creating space frames - I think there's potential for a useful library or tut in steelwork generally.

+1 for ceiling tiles.

I'm just going through the tutorials you guys made - very good.

Stuff like that needs to go right into the libraries.

Would be nice if we could add sprinkler tiles as well.

Also - I'm trying to edit the tutorial and use lights as objects, bur I guess that's not possible high, because that would be awesome!
