Hello!
I am searching for an effective way to use railclone for creating simple window frames.
Normally I get lots of closed polylines defining the outline of a window.
Now I tried to create the frame for that window which works fine. (see attachment)
But somehow I have no clue how to create the glass plane.
I was thinking of the same settings like creating a wooden floor. But this doesen´t work on vertical boundary splines.
Have you got an idea how to deal with this?
Thank you, Harry.

couldn't you use shell modifier for glass panes?

When I use shell modifier on the same spline, then railclone is gone.
I could use a copy of the spline, but that´s not very elegant.

Hi, it's possible to create arrays using vertical splines: just create the RC object in a vertical viewport (front, left,...). Or alternatively, align RC with the local axis of the vertical spline, and reassign the path to rebuild.
Anyway, this technique works only for one plane at time. So in this case, i'm afraid it's not possible to create glasses for all sides. A different RC object for each side is not a very elegant solution either...

Thank you, so I guess it´s best to work with 2 identical splines. One for the frame and the second with a shell modifier for the glass.
