wine shelf
« on: September 28, 2025, 06:40:22 pm »
Hello everyone,

I am trying to populate with random bottles of wine this shelf (see attached), I have watched some similar tutorial found here but I doesn't work properly, maybe because the tutorial is too old. Anyone who can give me some workflow that I can try?

Many thanks.

Hi,

You can use the Randomize Operator to control the percentage of empty segments. To achieve the grid placement, the Sequence Operator in "Increment at Y" mode with an alternating "translated" row should do the trick. Please find attached a sample scene showing a possible style setup. I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Thank you for reply,
I have check your scene and it seems easy, but in my case it's still complicated. When I add more bottles as "segment" it doesn't work any more. I just can't set up the right scaling (distance between the bottles).
Please find the scene attached.

Thank you for the support.

Hi Dusan,

As the size of these bottles may vary slightly, an alternative to adjusting the Padding values is to tweak the Fixed Size setting to match the grid while keeping Scale Segment disabled. For proper placement, you can fine-tune the Transform > Translation values as needed. Please find attached a revised scene where I’ve roughly adjusted these values. I hope this helps.

Best regards,
