winsocks error
« on: August 20, 2024, 03:34:30 pm »
hello. getting a winsocks error suddenly (worked on thursday, but then stopped working friday).  i get the error when trying to open a scene with a forest object, or railclone object.  also get the error when trying to create either one of those.

a scene with objects already in it, takes forever to open. i haven't waited long enough to see how long it takes, but the longest i waited was 15mins.  i can open a scene without forest/railclone objects.

any ideas?  i can ping our  sever with good responses.  the winsocks is error 10600 (from memory).  any thoughts?  oh one other thing i remember is that it says something like it's taking too long to respond?

thanks!

Hi!

Usually the WSAETIMEDOUT 10060 Connection timed out (A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or the established connection failed because the connected host has failed to respond) error is a connection problem, most probably caused by a firewall/anti-virus blocking it.

Please double-check all firewall/anti-virus solutions you are using - the port 16720 on your license server & all involved computers must be open for both TCP and UDP protocols.

If you encounter any further issues, would you mind sending us the log file from the Itoo Software License Manager - License Server tab - View Log... for us to analyze it here? Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Paul
