Hello,
How can I fix the rotation on the side so it goes along the red lines that I have marked?
I'm using RC's box mapping feature here. Tried rotating mapping but it rotates on the wrong direction.

Thanks

Hi,
can we get Your maxfile RC style please?
-
Sure. You just need the index.xml file, right? Or otherwise where exactly Style properties are stored at?
-
Your max scene .max file. hopefully texture is not necessary i will plug any wood

Here you go- https://we.tl/t-bhQZnBvFOQ (https://we.tl/t-bhQZnBvFOQ)

Ok, rotation does not help in this case. As a workaround You can use Triplanar Map:

Okay but this method breaks as soon as you add a second part to an equation.
These two parts has to have different directions, although they belong to the same RC object:

How do I do that then? Or is it not achievable using RailClone? which would be kinda surprising and disappointing at the same time.
Trying to create some wooden doors and windows here.

Hi - for maximum control (for example to have a different rotation on the end caps) I would set up a multi-sub object material that has the texture repeated 4 times, each rotated in 90-degree increments. You can then control the direction of the grain on the source geometry simply by switching the material IDs.
A sample file can be downloaded here: https://d.pr/f/hPHJhV
I hope that helps.
All the best,
Paul

I think we are expecting different results.
I still can't find a mapping solution for rotated segments.

Hi Dragan,
Yes, sorry. That was a reply to the previous question. I'm still taking a look at the rotated issue.
Cheers,
