Hm, it is not working for nesting ???
The spline is 700cm long.
What value should Expression return?
-
Hi Dragan,
It would appear that the print command is returning the incorrect value but in actual use, it works as expected. I've amended your file so that there are two versions, one using xsectionlength and the other using xsectionadjustedlength. As you can see they are working as expected despite what the print command returns. I'll pass on the Print problem
Cheers,
Paul

Yes, they are working as expected.
I was playing with an Evenly distribution on nested L1S and there was an issue but I guess this is an "extra vertices in the internal path" problem.
-
Quite possibly - that issue with internal splines and evenly segments has been fixed by Carlos - it'll be released in the next update.
Cheers!

Great, thank you.
This new Attribute is a very nice addition. I`m happy :D

Just tested more thoroughly and so far working perfectly with Sequence, Randomize, and Selector on Evenly/Corners/Markers, respecting X alignment, pivots, limits...
Huge!!!!
THANK YOU!
Best Regards

Great! Thanks for testing, glad to hear it's all working well.

Just waiting for the next update to check Evenly on Nested. ;)
-
one more note...
update description in the editor to add "automatically subtracting the size of any Start, End, Evenly, Marker, or Corner segments".
Now it is just Start and End segment
-
Agreed, I'll pass it on. Although technically it's accurate because the spline is divided internally using those inputs. Each section only knows about its own start and end. This is kind of explained in the description "Length of the current section on X Spline, substracting size of Start and End segments. A section is the path between two Start, End, Corner, Evenly or Marker segments" But since start and end already having a meaning in the RailClone world it's a bit confusing.
-
:D
But since this is Adjusted section size and it subtracts Evenly/Corner/Markers too( and it does a GREAT job!) it will be good to note this in the Description.
Once more, I`m so grateful for this attribute!!!!
-
I think this Attribute deserves the new release number as RC6 and not just an update release! ;)
Can`t thank you enough guys!

You're very welcome! Thanks for testing it thoroughly.
