Randomizing sequences
« on: October 22, 2020, 01:07:03 AM »
Hello,
I'm wondering if it's possible to make a randomization of repeating row of Segments, in a single Generator and on single Spline? For example , I want to make a row of 3 types of bottles and each bottle is grouped with 5 copies in a row. That row would be one Segment and I'd like to Randomize it . But I'm not sure on how to make it.

I tried using Sequence Operator with single Segment unsuccessfully. I added single geometry Segment into Sequence, followed by Null Segment with fixed size, for space between bottles. Randomize node just ignores Segment node and randomizes all sub-segments separately.

Right now the only solution I can think of is making separate Generators for each of the bottles distributed on a spline and nest them in the Main Generator or simply making multiple bottles as one Edit Poly object.

Hi

for such styles it is advisable to use Nested generators workflow. Easy to understand and modify.

Hope this helps

Hi Rokas , you nailed it ! I totally missed this X Size property in the Generator options.

Thank you very much.
