What type of object do you save in the Max file, a mesh or a RailClone ?

It should be a RailClone object, because the library get the style from it.

Many thank for your quick response :
It's a mesh,i do not know how to transform a mesh into a railclone objet ...
I've another question :
Does railclone support maxwell render's proxies ? it seem's not... :(
thx ,

You must create the RC object manually, assigning the segments, parameters, etc. The idea is that you use the library to store your own RC objects, but they must be created before.

We just updated the plugin to v.1.3.0. With this release it is possible to use Maxwell proxies or other renderers in the following way:

- Assign the proxy to the Segments panel. Turn off  the "Bend" and "Slice" parameters, to be sure the segment is not deformed.
- Create your RailClone object, adding other segments and adjusting the parameters.
- When ready, use RailClone Tools to convert the geometry to standalone objects. The tool will create meshes and instances of the segments (including proxies) where needed.
