Railclone 1.4.2 Vertex weld at end joint problem
« on: November 15, 2012, 11:21:35 AM »
Hi,

Thanks for this amazing tool.It has shortened lot of my manual work flows.

I am having a little issue with creating a custom guard rail.I have gone through the library objects and accordingly created my own set of custom guardrails with pivots at appropriate positions. And everything seems to be almost fine.Except, the end joint never really snaps completely to the mid joint.

I have re-checked quite a lot of times. The distance between those vertices in the rail clone object is very minor, but to avoid shimmering, i have to weld those properly through railclone.

I have searched through the forum, and haven't found any answer.

Thanks.

Probably the end vertexes of the segment are not perfectly aligned, creating tiny separations between adjacent pieces.

Please, send us the model and we will check it.

Thanks for the instant reply.

After checking really closely, in the top view, saw that the vertices were not aligned in one of the axis, did that, and it worked!

Thanks a lot.
